Numerical simulation of ground surface settlement of underpass building in tunnel boring machine double-line tunnels

Ground surface settlement under subway tunnel construction is one of the main sources urban ground settlement, which may threaten safety existing buildings. Therefore, it necessary to study influence on and stability subsidence. In current study, originating from operation a tunnel-boring machine (TBM) while excavating double-line that underpasses buildings studied. To this end, numerical simulations were carried out experimental data analyzed. The boring parameters for underpass interval section derived by simulating process analyzing TBM in real project. Then, thrust force, grouting pressure, frictional force was considered settlement. For spatial locations between area, width caused different excavation sequences two-line obtained results demonstrate performed calculations are consistent with monitoring data. It found depth trough affected distance tunnel. However, location independent excavated sequence but depends building.
